With so many riders commuting to work we were requested to deliver an advanced training day that covers a commute into and out of the Capital. This has proven to be very successful and more dates have been arranged. For further information about this day contact us for details.

Great News for Off Road Facility Bookings
The good news is that we have decided to continue with the ‘off road’ facility despite the set back of having all the bikes and some of the kit stolen. This has however meant that our approach to how we had intended to use the facility has changed. The bikes will now be stored at a secure location off site and will be transported to the venue. The logistics of this we will have to adapt to, but it will mean that we will only have two bikes available and not a third in reserve. Whilst we retained the new helmets it will be up to the riders to ensure they have suitable attire and footwear (ideally old motorcycle kit). When taking the bookings we will ask for helmet size and bring along a few sizes rather than the entire stock. Other than that, everything should be the same as originally intended. We will provide you with the bike and fuel for the day and offer guidance on a range of different terrains where you can develop your basic off road skills. The damage waiver will still apply in so much that as long as you ride in accordance with
Burglary – Bikes stolen
Before we could even launch, we had a break in and all bikes stolen. The location hadn’t even been published and knowledge was very limited. As it stands this is a massive set back and not sure where to go from here. Any information about the thefts would be greatly appreciated.
‘Off Road’ site opens for bookings
Our long awaited off road facility opens in June with a view to developing riders basic skills. With so many riders using adventure style bikes we have created a centre where they can learn these new skills. With bikes, helmet and gloves provided and an assured fun day, its a brilliant learning opportunity. You can find out more about this on our courses page or contact us directly.

Devitt Motorcycle Insurance
For ten years we enjoyed an excellent relationship with Colchester based Bike Team Insurance Brokers that were committed to working together with us to make riders safer. In 2015 after an acquisition the relationship has not continued hence the need to find another broker who was equally as committed to recognising that riders who invest in additional training should be rewarded and offered better deals. Having recently met with Devitt Insurance, I’m pleased to announce they want to continue and build upon what Bike Team had started. This includes providing bike themed gift items to not only our customers but also for Essex Police Bike Safe goody bags and the same for the Fire Bike ‘ Better Biker’ courses. They also are prepared to provide our customers who attain the ‘in house’ accreditation (similar to Rospa bronze) discount on bike their insurance and a direct (advanced) on-line link for quotes. Other support is producing partnership banners and posters for the shows and the off road site. They also want us to produce training articles they will share on their own social media platforms encouraging riders to take up additional training. Having met the marketing team last week, I’m really looking

Devitt Motorcycle Insurance
Had a positive meeting recently with Essex based Devitt Insurance looking at a joint approach to make riders safer and reward our customers with preferential rates. Really looking forward to developing this partnership, more details to follow.
Update on development of Off Road Site
During December time was spent clearing 10 tons of metal, which had previously been stored at the location. In January we are hoping to start designing the site, which even with an optimistic head is likely to extend into February and early March. Once we get a clearer picture we will be able to consider a launch date. It is anticipated this facility will be restricted for only our existing customers to book as we know them, have a relationship and trust them to respect the bikes we will be providing.
